Shipping Policy

EXCESSIVE SHIPPING CHARGES????

NOTE: Because we use a variety of suppliers and some items are shipped directly from them, shipping charges may appear ‘excessive’ if you add more than one item from two or more suppliers, as each will require an individual shipping cost from that supplier.

However, You **WILL BE REFUNDED** for any amount above the "Actual" shipping charges. However, we will not know the actual shipping charge until the item(s) actually ship.

NOTE:  Items returned for being refused by shipping carrier will have the cost of return shipping charges deducted from refund amount prior to refund being issued.


 

FOR U.S.A. ORDERS

Orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt by West by Southwest Decor, a Pick My Gift store, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.  Orders will ONLY be shipped to a verifiable address and will NOT be shipped to a P.O. Box Number.  An e-mail address and contact phone number are required in the event of a delay in shipment or back-order notification. 

We use UPS, USPS, FEDEX, & DHL as our shippers, depending on the product to be shipped.  Our shopping cart calculates shipping rate for ground delivery based on weight for an average of shipping costs of all carriers. 

We will ship your purchase via the carrier with the best price and service at the time of your order.  

If you need overnight delivery, please contact us at 1-800-351-6790 for rates and availability.  

Shipping for 3-day select, overnight, or other special delivery will require additional costs. Not all items are available to ship right away since some items are made to order.

The shipping and handling fee calculated by our shopping cart includes packing materials. If the actual shipping charge and handling fee is less than the price calculated in your order, you will receive a refund of the difference.  If the actual shipping charge and handling fee is greater than $5.00 above the amount calculated in your order, you will be notified and shipment will be made once the additional amount is received.

NOTE: Our Shopping Cart calculates Shipping Costs by adding S/H cost PER ITEM, which when multiple items are ordered at the same time, the result is an "Excessive" Shipping Charge - You **WILL BE REFUNDED** any amount above the "Actual" shipping charges. However, we will not know the actual shipping charge until the item(s) actually ship.

Drop Shipping:

We can drop ship your order to a family or friend by having you put the name and address of the person to receive the order in the Ship To section of the shopping cart.  You will then put your own information in the Bill To section of the shopping cart. Note:  Billing information must match credit card information or your order will not be processed.  Once payment has cleared, your order will be drop shipped to the individual you specified in the Ship To section.

NOTE:  NOT ALL ITEMS QUALIFY FOR RUSH DELIVERY.  If you wish to have an item shipped by a "RUSH" type delivery, you will need to contact us to get a quote for the additional charge and to check for availability in your zone.  Any additional costs must be paid in advance of shipment.  Contact us for details. 

Depending on the "zone" you live in, orders may take up to 10 business days for delivery, excluding holidays.  You will receive an e-mail notification when your order is received and again when your order is shipped. Keep a copy of your e-mail notification as it will contain your order "tracking number."

Orders sent to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada will incur additional shipping time and an additional fee of $5.00 per item. 

 FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: 

We currently do NOT ship international orders, except to Canada. 

Orders shipped to Canada will incur duty taxes that must be paid by the recipient in Canada.  To approximate the cost, use this formula:

UPS Brokerage Fee is Approximately $42.25 (depending on value of item)

Add 6% of the value of the item (can be wholesale price of item) for the Value Added Tax (VAT)

Plus the Providence Sales Tax (PST), which is calculated by the individual providence's sales tax rate times the total of the VAT.

For example:  Using a wholesale value of an item purchased = $500.00 USD
                        Plus VAT of 6% = $30.00
                        Plus PST of 14% of VAT = $4.20
                        Plus UPS Broker Fee = $42.50  (fee for $200-$500)
                           Equal Total Duty Tax Due = $76.70*

*These figures are to show how duty tax is calculated only.  Actual duty tax will depend on actual costs at the time of purchase.
